There are two men in the Bible beloved by God. They are the Prophet Daniel (Old Testament) and the Apostle John (New Testament).
Daniel 10:19 – And he said, “O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”
John 20:2 – So she ran and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.”
What is special to note is that these two men were given special apocalyptic (revelation) into the first and second comings of Christ. We can’t understand the book of Daniel or the book of Revelation clearly without one another. The book Daniel explains the book Revelation and the book Revelation explains the book Daniel. Bible prophecy can be understood through the unified writings of these two men.
Application: Those who are greatly loved by God will have unity and understanding of one another. Daniel and John lived nearly 500 years apart, but they had unity. You may have people you genuinely love and they genuinely love you who you may have fellowship with or spoken to in a while, but the love and unity in Christ is still there.
There is special revelation, unity, and love in those who are beloved in God.
