Theology And Inspirational Moment

Theology And Inspirational Moment

After the death of Solomon, the kingdom of the 12 tribes of Israel was split due to civil war. 10 tribes in the North would be lead by a king of the name Jeroboam. Read what God says to Jeroboam:

2nd Kings 11: 31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee: 32 (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David’s sake, and for Jerusalem’s sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:) 33 Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to dothat which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father. 34 Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant’s sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes: 35 But I will take the kingdom out of his son’s hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes. 36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light always before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there. 37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel. 38 And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.

God Himself spoke to Jeroboam. God told Jeroboam why He was giving him 10 tribes to rule over. He also admonishes Jeroboam to walk right before Him. God admonished Jeroboam to lead the people in truth. Jeroboam did not do what God requested him to do, and as a result, the 10 tribes went into captivity and many consider them lost to this day.  Scripture says:

2nd Kings 17:20  And the LORD rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight. 21 For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the LORD, and made them sin a great sin. 22 For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them; 23 Until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.

God set Jeroboam up as king and gave him a powerful kingdom, but Jeroboam failed to follow the Word of the Lord. And as a result his kingdom went into captivity.

My friends God is not playing with the church’s rebellion. We see precedence that God deals with sin.

Jesus And His Government

Inspirational Moment – The Government (Kingdom) of Jesus

By Dr. Himie Pickett

There is much talk about who will lead the government of the United States. But, how many people are talking about how God IS leading the government (Kingdom) of God NOW. The Bible says:

Isaiah 9:6 – For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.

This passage will have its ultimate fullfilment iin Christ’s literal 1000 year reign of Christ also known as the Millenium or the Kingdom age. However, it has had a partial fulfillment since Christ rode into Jeruselem on a donkey (Mark 11:2-7) and when they coronated Him King with a crown of thorns (Mark 15:36).

If we parse the above text we easily see the child born and the son given to be Jesus. Notice it did not say Trump or Clinton. I submit to you that the head of the true government (Kingdom) is Jesus.

Quotidianly (daily) I get messages about what Trump or Clinton has said, but oh how I wish to get a message about what Jesus has said. I receive messages on the attributes of Trump and Cinton saying they are racist, demonically influenced, etc. However, I wish to discuss the attributes of Jesus as dileanated above: Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.

Trump nor Clinton can make the world wonderful. Only Jesus can be your counselor. Neither Trump nor Clinton is God. Only God is your everlasting Father. The only peace that you ever be have is in Jesus. There will be NO true peace in neither Trump nor Clinton.

It is OK to speak for or against your presidential preference, but be sure to speak more of Jesus. Jesus has already come into his government (Kingdom). He is not subject to an election. His government is everlasting.

Jesus The Light

Excerpt of teaching from Genesis chapter one. This excerpt and exercise is ONLY for the serious student of theology. Critical thinking is imperative.
The Godhead (the unified existence of God) demonstrated in the beginning of time (as it relates to man and the habitat that God made for man) that He was Lord. And the concepts and principiums (principles) that He put in place were for the weal (welfare) of man. He demonstrated that these principiums were inviolate (never to be interrupted).
One principium that God placed into effect that He Himself would exemplify through the life of Jesus was the concept of light ruling over day and night. Let us exegete Genesis 1:14-19.

Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Notice the following points:

1. There is a distinction between day, night, and the lights. Many times we don’t make the distinction, when we see the light that rules the day (sun) we call it day. But really the sunlight is not day, it exists to rule over day. The same is true for the moon and night.
2. It is imperative that you see the differences between the lights and what the lights rule BEFORE point three.
3. I told you earlier that God would personify and exemplify this principium. He would do so through Jesus. Let us go to the Scriptures:
John 8:12 – Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Now, according to the principium, the light RULES over the day and night. The lights (sun and moon) are distinguished from the concepts of day and night. Jesus is the true light that rules over the daytimes and nighttimes of our lives.
Assignment: Exegete and comment on the following verses with the knowledge of the above principium. This exercise requires critical thinking. Please write at least on paragraph for each verse.
Psalms 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. 6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
Luke 8:16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Note: Revelation 22:5 should be answered in light of your eschatalogical view.
